Isla’s Baby Portrait
Acrylic on Canvas

I love baby portraits. I think they are a timeless way to immortalize this very fleeting time in a person’s life. But I’m also super wierd, so I couldn’t just let my babies portrait be normal. Being a new parent feels just absolutely surreal at times so, in between diaper changes, breastfeedings, and naps, I’m embarking on a new series of paintings that embrace the surrealism of parenting. Also I swear this painting accurately encapsulates how many arms Isla has when it’s time to get her into a sweater. Enjoy!
